Multi-shot FROG

Multi-shot Frequency-resolved Optical Gating

The MS-FROG expands our FROG series and is preferably used when it comes to pulse energies in the pJ-nJ range or when particularly large pulse duration ranges need to be covered. e.g. 4 fs to 80 ps. The MS-FROG-SP measures both fs-ultrashort and long ps-pulses thanks to its resolution of 50 attoseconds in fine-scan mode. Our MS-FROG integrates in-house built spectrometers specifically developed for FROG measurements and guarantee high spectral resolution and the best performances for pulse characterization.

Optional Features

Additional crystals
The default Fast FROG configuration includes one crystal. To extend the wavelength range of the device, additional plug&play crystals can be ordered and swapped within the system in seconds

Additional MISS spectrometer
The default Fast FROG configuration includes one imaging spectrometer MISS. To extend the wavelength range of the device, additional plug&play MISS spectrometers can be ordered and swapped within the system in seconds

Fiber input connector
Plug&play collimation module with fiber connector. Can be mounted on the Fast FROG to easily switch the input from free-space to fiber. No alignment required.

Low energy
Internal module to increase the sensitivity of the Fast FROG when the laser power is too weak

Low repetition rate
Synchronization mode to be used when the laser repetition rate is low. Mandatory for 100 Hz and lower, recommended from below 500 Hz

Phase matching
Default Fast FROG configuration works for a given central wavelength. Phase matching allows tuning the SHG crystal to measure different central wavelengths with the best SNR

Few cycle extension
Extension of the minimum pulse duration to the few cycle pulses range. Down to 10 fs for MS-FROG and down to 4 fs for MS-FROG-SP and MS-FROG-SLP

Software: FROG Acquisition and Retrieval with STAR

MS-FROG Frequency Software from Femto Easy

The retrieval of the ultrashort-pulse from the FROG trace image is managed by our easy-to-use FROG software. Fast FROG software comes with an optimized retrieval algorithm and allows you to retrieve time and spectral information in real-time.

Several algorithms (including the so called Ptychographic Iterative Engine) are combined to enhance the reconstruction speed and quality.

Thanks to speed, the live extraction of shot-to-shot pulse properties are achieved, such as temporal profile intensity and phase, fundamental spectrum and phase, pulse chirp, third-order dispersion, and, of course, pulse duration (FWHM, autocorrelation FWHM, Fourier-limited pulse duration).
